Meine Frage war ernstlicher Natur. Man kann natürlich auch eine Albernheit daraus machen. Aber einen potentiellen Teilnehmer an einem solchen Forum habe ich schon ausgemacht.Smile
From my point of view it would be some fun to sometimes discuss in english. For some users it could be a challenge to improve their english and maybe the one or the other would come her to take part who isn't so familiar with german. So, why not take a chance and try?
We could give it a try - but if the forum stays empty it will be closed after a while.
Here is my task for you: invent a name and description for the new forum.
i don't think we have enough active users to justify a new forum, but it might be worth a try.
(considering our name "Global-Talk", the real question should be why we write in german at all :p)

regarding the name: the usual suspects would be "Speaker's Corner" or "Foreign Talk".

We accept the later option with gratitude and declare the games are open Smile

The english baord will be named :

"Globalsprechen"

as an antipode to the staunch german name "global-talk" and will also indicate the philosophy of the board to willfully ignore details as a reminescence to a view from the angle of highest intellectual altitudes.
@T-Rex
What's wrong with you? Why do you always have to hide behind cynicism and sarcastically announcements? Are you so afraid to argue seriously?
Since our board is about politics I would suggest to call the new forum "foreign affairs".
No more postings? I thought you were interested in establishing an english forum?
